So, long story short, some idiot who shouldn't have a CDL hit me in a tractor trailer while I was turning right. Screwed up my quarter panel, and most of my hopes of doing anything at all with this car. Not sure if I'm gonna bother fixing it, probably not, at this point, between it needing floor pans, all the suspension to be replaced, and the fact that the engine needs to be pulled and resealed means I'll probably pull the engine and find another car to put it in. It needs a front seal, pan seal, and maybe a rear seal. The car sat for several years so most of the seals dried up. It runs great, though, and I feel like the engine has a lot of life left in it. Up in the air at this point, but this car is probably getting parted or otherwise gotten rid of. I'm not really that interested in fixing it at this point.
That sucks. With all the other work it needs along with this damage, it's probably a good idea to move on.
That does SUX!!!! I know how long you looked for a Holiday Coupe. But with all the metal work it needed and the new damage it probably is parts at this point.
Yep... really sucks, let the car go today. Sold it for $500 to someone up in Ohio, he might fix it, or part it for one he has. Not sure, hope the drive up makes him keep it. But the floor pans on both sides are actually rotted, not just the drivers. Yeah I had a four door, I totaled it in August... Been driving the Delta since... Broke off a valve cover bolt in the head, said "$*%# this!" and put the car on craigslist. Soooo... Time to move on to the Subaru...
It's a little bit of a drive, but here's a GM coupe you'd probably like. http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/5394847811.html
Ah, missed your post Eagle, but I got me another car, making a post on that. It ain't a wagon, but it's a GM yacht like I normally drive.
Good luck with the Roadmonster! Look both ways before crossing streets, back up carefully, stay away from drunks and little old ladies with eye problems, drive as if my life depends on it, careful on ice, snow, and sidewalks. Stay away from 18 wheelers and kids on Big Wheels. Have fun.
