    Hi all,
After a Buick Estate wagon 1996 and a Chrysler 300C 2005 5.7V8 AWD (european Magnum), i switch to another wagon, older, w/o electronics, catalytic, fuel injection or other "modern parts": I bought a '70 Ford Country Squire !
I live in SW France, a city named Pau near Pyrénées mountains. i owned US cars since 1985, the Ford is the 7th in the list. First was a Ramcharger and today i kept only the car i restored during 7 years, a '57 Imperial convertible.
I'm also president of a US car club: AmeriSud.
The Country Squire isn't still at home, i'll get it in the first weeks of january, so the pics i post are from its actual location (North of France). The car needs a paint and new "wood" because the old vinyl was 'painted" with a dark stain. The mouldings need also a better paint ... The interior (red) is in great conditions. Mill is the 390 ci. The only option is the A/C (and AM radio !). The car came from Colorado to France in 2010 or 2011.

    Merci !!
I think that when i'll have the car at home i'll have a lot of questions, even if i know the american cars.

Reuilly is far from my location, 600 km, i don't remember seing a '83 Chevy wagon.
As i said, at this time i haven't the Ford at home so i'm not very often on the forum but i have already several questions , better ask them when i could verify or check on the car. Is there other owners of '69-70 LTD ?

Welcome! It is wonderful to see your passion for these cars. The Imperial is beautiful! I imagine it gets a lot of attention whenever you drive it. The FORD also looks like a very solid car. I am looking forward to hearing more about it.

I see that i haven't posted since a while !!! I got Country Squire at home in the last days of january and since i investigated in all area of the car !
I have some works on engine (leaking exhaust manifolds, carb needs overhaul) but as i've received parts this week i'll work on it next week i think.
I've already done some electrical works as re-wired the side markers, removed some "additional" wiring in the directional lights (flashers were bad wired so no emergency lights when ignition off !!).
Also check advance which was completly wrong (10° after TDC rather BTDC ...).

I also drive the car, yesterday at my daughter home, good place for a "country" squire !!!
