Parking 101 It's real enough for me. Makes up for all of those real times I've seen similar. Sadly sometimes I don't blame them. What really happens most are those poeple who pull a foot or two forward into the next space accidentally or half way across the sidewalk. Since I bought a new car I don't pull in far enough. I worry about hitting that wind deflector under the car or hitting the crappy plastic bumper. I need those semi truck fender guides! I miss parallel parking along the curb when life was easier.
Christ, I couldn't parallel-park if my miserable life depended on it. And I did it well when I was in Driver's Ed. How the Hell does that happen?
I'm not a gambler. But I'd bet very few people under 50 can parallel park without destroying the bumpers on all cars involved, the wheels, and the tires. I used to hate in Peoria where some curbs had cement walls two feet high and passengers had to get out street side. I don't think they teach parallel parking now. Very few curbside parking spots. We're actually lucky stores have large lighted parking lots.
What were they thinking? I can understand others getting evan. But it's always a gamble of damage. On that last one they appear to be touching the center car.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
