Buy the new brand new shell and use this rusting hulk for it's title and you are good to go, or buy one already finished for less money and drive it now.

    Here's a '65 Fastback in Ontario for $27k:

Or, for just $25k, you could buy this engine-less, transmission-less shell (but supposedly with a finished interior):

I think anyone who believes these '60s Mustangs will be an "investment" will be in for a surprise in 10-20 years when they want to sell the car. Generation X, Y and Z won't be interested in cars from the '60s. And even if they were, they won't have the money to spend 'cause they will still be paying off their student loans, mortgages, credit card debt, etc. until they retire. Sad, but true.

And what comes after Generation Z, anyway? :hmmm:

One of those TV car restoration shows where they buy a $7000 '69 Camaro shell from a junkyard and fix it up would gladly pay $5000 for this. Apparently this guy has been watching too many of those shows.

I traded a low mileage black 1965 Mustang fastback on a new 1972 Gran Torino wagon. I probably got $1,000 for it. The rally pac is worth that now.

The next generation is going to want 'classic' JAPANESE imports. Some of them are starting to become more valuable already. On the list would be:

    - 240/260/280 Z's
    - Early Mazda rotarys
    - Mazda Rotary P/U
    - Datsun 510's (1st generation)
    - Toyota Celicas and Supras
    - (perhaps - ?) early Datsun & Toyota P/U's
    - 80's Subarus of all types
