Didn't Toyota state that it was impossible for their cars to have software problems when they were under investigation for runaway Camry's?

Son recently swapped engines in his 85 Chevy truck again. This one is a 93 SBC TBI. For some reason he put the computer under the hood near the radiator support rather than under the seat away from moisture and heat.
After a few days the engine started acting up, dieing, idling fast, missing, etc.
After checking everything from the ignition switch to the fuel system he checked the computer.
Full of dead fire ants! He blew it out and so far today it's fine. Hope they came from the junk yard or last owner.
Computers are sensitive to heat, bugs, and moisture.
Prius' are just computers on wheels like all other new cars. Now we depend on computers to steer, stop, back up, and make us go!:slap:
All I want to do is go grocery shopping and take a ride.
