I am having problems with the chrome master cylinder sticking. The plunger may not be releasing, eventually the brakes over heat and lock up. I pop the hood and loosen the fluid lines and let the pressure bleed off, the brakes free up and the car will slightly roll indicating the lines were still under pressure. So I presume the problem is in the master cylinder. Can any one point me in the right direction, the cylinder or the brake booster or the push rod?
Oh yeah, something that might be helpful, it didn't seem to be a problem in summer, only when the temp is cooler.

Start at pedal linkage checking for a bind then check pushrod adjustment which usually causes the problem you describe.

You can always disassemble the master cylinder and run a hone through it a few times if the other stuff doesn't help. Rebuild kits are cheap. I'd keep the ones that came with it as carefully as I could. Have fun.
