Shouldn't we be seeing flying cars by now?

Well now it's dangerous enough with them on the ground. Imagine people texting, eating Big Macs, and other distracting things while flying above our heads.

One of my favorite movies. The sequels were great too. :)

They do exist, all you have to do is imagine it.

101 put down the egg nog and step away from your keyboard!:drink:

It's true, flying cars have been around at least since the 40's. Like the electric car they never really became popular for many reasons.
I believe the biggest problems with flying cars are getting permission form the aviation board. I also believe, like big business, tire companies and others involving roadable parts, put a stop to flying cars. After all, tires would last for much longer.
Look back at the Fish carburator. Someone bought the rights to it to prevent cars from getting better fuel mileage. And someone bought the patents to those new improved bastteries which would have made electric cars a success. Money talks so people walk, or drive.
If man were meant to fly he'd have wings........ Ooops that's what they told those two Wright guys.

As far as dreaming, I'd rather dream I'm alone on a deserted island with the ladies of Gilligan's island, minus lovey, Mrs Howel! Or on Fantasy island watching de plane.

General Motors had flying cars back in the 1950's, I don't think that many of them sold though.
