I thought I had already posted in this thread but it must have been a different one.

My one and only: 1976 Pontiac Grand Le Mans Safari.

    LoL @ Fat Tedy!

So far I've only needed the one. First car and daily driver from 1988 to 2006. Now its my project car.

If I had $$ and garage/driveway space I might own more.

Personally, I have owned two... a 1989 Pontiac Safari and my current 1972 Chevy Kingswood Estate.

I remember during my childhood my parents owning the following wagons: 1967 Caprice Estate wagon (owned in the late 70s, wish I had it now!!!), 1977 Mercury Bobcat Villager wagon (owned in the late 80s) and the last wagon my parents owned was a 1977 Plymouth Volare' Premier wagon in the early 90s.

... and I remember having a great aunt that had a 1977 Ford Country Squire wagon that she bought brand new. :)

Well thats a tough one. Everyone laughed. I helped my dad do his floor years ago and hes not a station wagon guy, we took 10 sheets of plywood and all the materials home in a 76 chevy wagon. My kids used thier mothers car never my wagon never my dad looks at my 66 monaco wagon and he still doesnt get it.im going to tune up my car new exhaust and let my dad take it for a ride and see if he remembers the smell and feel of a real car. He had some classic cars 52 ford 61 gallaxy 66galaxy all cars we wish we had. My passion started early my friends all had hot cars money i always had $500 wagons to take thier broken hot rods home you could put big speakers in a station wagon . Have a truck for winter, thinking about selling the truck and buying a winter gramma wagon we will see i dont care about tests i want a big strong wagon if theres a crash and my adult kids still have never asked to drive my wagons

LOL!!!!!!

    Wagons I've owned/own

    In chronological order:

1966 Chevy Nova 283 PG A/C car. I had this one for over 10 years. Swapped out the PG with a TH350. Went through two of those while the ol' 283 kept going. Never should have sold it, but I wanted a Bel Air 2 dr post, so...
1970 Dodge A108 van. Not a wagon, but a ROOMY hauler. 318/727/3.23 posi 8.75, w/15" steelies and dog dishes. Put on Doug Thorley headers and a 4 bbl Holley. My first wife hated it, so...
1967 I-H Travelall. 345 727 TF (converted from a 4 spd). Had to sell in divorce...
1974 AMC Matador 304/Torque Command (Chrys 904). Near mint, bought as a stop gap for $700. Found out why it was so cheap when I lost #2 cylinder on drive home.
1969 Fairlane, base model 250 I6, C4, manual steering & brakes, rubber mats, radio delete. I just bought this 6 weeks ago. I'm slowly fixing it up. Just went through the brakes and replaced all the hydraulic parts. New shocks, replaced broken taillight lenses. Just ordered a Pertronix ignition. I will definitely need some parts if anybody has them. Second wife LOVES it!!! She drives an '04 Vibe!

    :hmmm:

Not too many compared to some here.

'72 Coronet Wagon. Car was a pile to look at, but, was dead nuts reliable. Never any intentions to fix up, just beat on it for two years. Structure, suspension, engine gave out in that order just days apart, but, WOW it was a fun ride 'til the point of collapse.

'78 Dodge Creastwood (Monaco). I wish I had this one back just for its parts. Fully loaded out with tow package, was the least reliable of all the junk I've ever owned. Had rust issues, then took out some guardrail with it (black ice), ended up scrapping it.

'73 Chrysler Wagon, words cannot describe how badly this car had been butchered. Bought it for its engine and a few other bits.

My current '73 Satellite Custom 9 pass Wagon. Hard to believe I've owned it 16 yrs already. At this point, needs a LOT of work to put back on the road.

My daily driver now is my Wife's old car, a 2005 Vibe. Station wagon? SUV? Tall roof? It looks kinda like a wagon and gets good MPG.

Depressing fact, my first two wagons were bought back about 1990 for less than $200. The Coronet I got for free because the owner didn't want to pay to have it hauled away, and the Creastwood I got for $175 because the owner lost storage and wanted it out of his yard. The Creastwood would have easily been a $4K or better car in today's market.

    *sigh*

Well, as long as we're at it......time to update.
'81 Pontiac Bonneville Safari - the Way Back Machine

This makes 8 wagons total. (Not counting 2 wagons our family had while I was growing up - '65 Chevy Nova and a '66 Chevy Caprice Estate)

I've never seen this thread. I haven't had too many.

    2005 Dodge Magnum R/T

    1977 Ford LTD II Squire

    1976 Mercury Montego MX Villager

When I was growing up my parents bought a 1978 Toyota Corolla wagon, new. It was blue with the woodgrain. Wish I could find that car....

    Growing up my parents had:
    1968 Toyota Corona wagon
    1978 Subaru DL wagon
    1981 Pontiac Lemans wagon
    1986 Mercury Sable wagon

    Wagons that I've owned:
    The 1981 Lemans mentioned above
    1999 VW Passat wagon
    2003 VW Passat wagon
1972 Pontiac Lemans wagon- was too small so it was replaced with-
    1969 Pontiac Bonneville wagon
2008 VW Passat wagon (soon to be for sale)
If VW still made the Passat wagon available in the US we'd already have a new one, but they don't so we're going to end up with a 2015 Subaru Outback.

When I was born, the family had a '56 Country Squire V8. Dad gave it to a high school kid for a shop project when we moved from Pennsylvania to Oregon.

When I was 30, I got a '79 Malibu wagon for $500. Ugly yellow, but it had a V8. Not long after that, I scored a Cutlass Cruiser Diesel, already swapped to a gas 350-4V. Both ended up getting parted out when the Malibu was rear-ended and the CC blew up the rear end. That was not fun at 55mph.
When I was 35, I scored a Datsun 810 for $300; it just needed an ignition lock cylinder and water pump. Damn thing ran like a chimp on fire! I traded it to my sis-in-law's parents for an '83 Ranger 4WD, lifted, but only a 4-banger. Blew that engine up.
During that time, I scored an '82 Cougar wagon that a tree branch punched through the roof, and since the engine had new heads and a rebuilt carb, I snagged it for $100 and parted it out, making around $600 when I was out of work. I also snagged an '83 Country Sedan for $100 to drop the engine into a '77 Ranchero, and sold the car with out an engine for the same $100, and made $220! Fast forward 6 years and I score my bro and sis-in-law's '83 Country Squire (that she ran into a wall) for free; I part it out, and find an '83 Colony park that needs a hood and driver's door, but otherwise in good condition. I pay $100 and trade the 302 from the CS for it. I had it for 4 years before I junked it when I got my '89 Bronco.
