I agree. I dont have problems with the derbies- I think they are neat, but it does bother me with a nice and rare old car is crushed up. Seems like you dont do that though and you try to help the wagoneers, so I appreciate that. I just wish all "derbiers" were like that. I frequent "derby gear" website to see what cars pop up there from time to time and to look for parts. I was always told how derbiers was there to help out fans of the wagons with parts, but that has never been the case where I am concerned. I needed (still need) a power window switch for my 1972 Caprice wagon... the part where the key inserts. On the derby site, I posted an ad.... over a month, four derby guys said they had switches they would give me when they got a chance to get to them.... I was like, WOW, I really appreciate that and even offered to pay for the part. Well, NONE of them ever seemed to have got around to it, because that was as long as two years ago in some cases. I even tried follow up messages and some would say, still been busy, while others would not even reply. That was the case when I wanted a front license plate bracket for my wagon too and some rear bumper gaurds. A couple kept saying they had them and would sell them cheap... never heard back and thats been months ago.

Just too bad though that all derbiers are not like you and try to save the good ones and offer parts on the bad ones before they are crashed up. Some derbiers will not hesitate to crash a rust free, good running and driving rare old station wagon, or sedan.

Your Caprice Estate sounds nice... any photos of it? I didnt see any of it on your website.

Not every wagon is worth saving. Old cars are being traded as commoditites. If you could take an old wagon and spend $100,000 restoring it and sell it for more then wagons wouldn't be crushed for scrap or derbied. Such is life.

I could easily spend $10,000 on mine and still be able to sell it for $4,000. If you look at wrecking wagons at the derby pragmatically then you'll realize that many models will become rare! Thus ours will be worth more money.:biglaugh:Just collect the parts first.

Exactly my point.... I can wreck every one of them and it wouldnt hurt me a bit financially or emotionally. I choose to wreck what is unrestorable in "my eyes".. If you feel that what i have done is an afront to wagonality, then feel free to make an offer and rescue them all from my clutches..... Blackfoot seeems to take pleasure in sending retarded p.m.`s to me regarding how he feels that the sport of demolition derby is "gay ass"... Lol. If he only knew that i have almost 3 grand in the engine,800 in the transmission and driveshaft, over a grand spent on my hybrid 31 spline rear end, new tires at a cost of 110 apiece, not to mention what the car shell cost... If you dont like it, too bad but dont make it sound like i just break the glass out and spray paint bubbas muffler shop on the quarters and take it to the track... In as much as i love driving and restoring my wagons, i love wrecking them just as much..... Too bad, buy me out and then you can restore whatever you want... Are you mad at all the junkyard owners who name a high price on their wagons and then when they dont get it they crush them? Same thing, its theirs to do with what they want..not you.......im sure that blackfoots hobbies would seem gay by some members, but then again, maybe toilet seat horseshoes is popular in new york........

It's well and good so long as it's beyond restorability. I just hate it when my friends tell me of the mint condition wagons and imperials and all the other great rides that still had many years of drivability in them and just destroy them. Now my friend had a 69 Roadrunner that was shot, you could have bought 2 restored ones for what you'd put into to fix this one up, and it was a 318 car, which the numbers engine was long gone, nothing special and he demoed it. I thought it was a shame, but I understand that you can't sink the money into something that far gone. Just my 2 cents.

Listen Pal, Lets be a little more honest when you call me out in public forum and start running your mouth about me. You sent me a PM attacking me, before I ever knew you existed, threatened me with a joke of a comment about knocking my teeth out in your every first contact to me. Wagonmaster and Silverfox have both seen your PMs buddy. I have nothing to hide here and have no problem in fowarding all your PMs to anyone who sends me a PM wanting to view them and I will not edit them at all. So they can see who likes to send the retarded, degrading and threatening PMs. Yes Demos are stupid, when you do as BIGGS has done and destroy a solid rust free BB Kingswood. If its a rotted out destroyed beater thats one thing, a restorable, hard to find car. Thats just plain ignorance. There is a saying, The Truth Hurts! You found my post about DEMOS being Gay Assed when done as He did, then you must be just as guilty. If not, then you have nothing but more BS to add.

Anyone wants to view his PMs to me, LMK and they will all be sent on over for you to all judge who is here to cause trouble and threaten who. Ive got nothing to hide.

    solution for world peace

If only the world leaders/fighters could each get a good roundy, notch the frame, weld the doors shut, weld friken everything and knock the crap out of each other :taz:for a couple of heats, and get it all out of there systems... well then mabey we could all agree on a good reason for derby. Hey that reminds me: "Can't we all just get along".:yippee::wave::yippee:

I can and do attest to Blackfoot's comments regarding the trouble maker here. I saw the garbage laden threats in the PM that this turkey sent to Blackfoot and all Blackfoot did was answer.
Stef...this is a buddy of BIGGS if, indeed, it isn't BIGGS. I would hope that you would ban both of them and ban them again and again under any name they come here under. This is a Forum of camaradarie and we have never had problems until these trouble makers showed up. They run their lives like they run their cars. Out of control.
And, hey...wooden head...like I believe that you have all this money you brag about. Guess what. There are guys here that have ONE car worth more than your worthless junk yard. Buy you out for 80K? What...you have 3 wagons?

By the way wood head...who did you hire to word, punctuate and type your second post in this thread?

Once again...wrong, i have no clue who biggs is, i did contact him to try and buy parts as he was going to wreck it so why not get more spares for my wagons. Funny thing is, all of us derby drivers have more wagons combined than actual wagon afficianados.its just a fact.... Im sure like i have posted before that you are just as mad at all the salvage yard owners who over the years have refused to let you buy their wagons, the difference between myself and you is that i will be willing to pay more to wreck it than you are to restore it.... And blackfoot, i love the comments in your p.m. About my mom swallowing a load. Make sure you send your p.m.`s to the "higher ups: Also... Too late, i did... Im here to stay, deal with it...... And no, i didnt come here to buy cheap wagons, but if there are any listed, ill be on it. Bank on it....

Why did you send me a name calling PM? I have never sent a PM to you and never will. You have something to say to me...say it here for all to see.

Exactly my point! This clown comes here and PMs me with threats and name calling, with no previous contact with him and never even knowing his existance. Why, all because I hate DEMOs and the guys like him and BIGGS that have no respect for our cherrished wagons. This guy needs to go! Wagonmaster, Stef, with all respect to you and the forum, PLEASE remove this guy, Silverfox and I are tired of getting rude and threatening PMs from him and BIGGS. They are obviously here to only start trouble with the contributing members. Else this thread would never have started.
