Bought a beautiful 96 Buick rodie today! Finally the search is over. this is a bad photo (in the dark) I will have better photos later this weekend.
Congratulations: a Classic White w wood-grain! I think the Roadie White w Wood will be the 'the one' like Resale Red is with the Corvette crowd.
This one was bought from another wagon member. It has been converted to a Buick GS sport wagon. (floor shift, console, badging) He did a real nice job this will be a great car for us for a long time to come.
His user name was Rabalc. (Rich) Great guy. Bought the car from Florida and did Buick GS sport conversion himself. (Nice job) Very nice clean car needing only a couple of small things.
My son and I checked over the "new" ride today to see what it will need to make it the perfect cruiser. All in all not to bad for a almost 20 year old car. We will be replacing the entire front steering rack. All the tie rods and idler arm where showing major wear and where loose. Four new shocks and the stabilizer end link kit was in order as well. Last the front hydraulic brake flex lines where cracking badly and while still OK (about 10K left) we are replacing the brake pads/shoes all the way around. My son and the car will be going to New Mexico where my Daughter lives so I don't want him having any issues with the car while he is there. very beautiful ride and we expect to get many smiles to the mile with our new "rollin sofa"
We all know how our Roadmasters "suffer" from the dreaded "gas tank sub frame rust" You know that piece of sub frame that GM forgot do any kind of rust treatment and as a result (even in dry climates) will rust to death. Usually leaving your tank dragging on the pavement! I decided to do something about it on my son's new ride since those pieces where very easy to save. here are some photos of the work that was done today. (save your rodie from the dreaded sub frame rust!)
