I did a quick search and didn't see it anywhere. It's listed in Denver but it is in Nevada. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1126624083.html
Got family in Carson City. Fairly dry high desert climate. Car's got the rare hidden headlamps (but doesn't seem to have much else). The 318 would be fairly marginal in this car.....
Thats my favorite part of the car.. those hidden lamps - very cool for a wagon... not a very popular year either.. seems kind of rare.
This is painful to see. That was my parents first new car, and I awlays loved it as a kid.I wanted it for my own when I got my drivers liscense, but dad got rid of it. The buyer bought it for the engine and scrapped the rest. I'll never forget the day I saw it going out of town, crushed and on a trailer full of other crushed cars. I cried for a week. I have always wanted to find another one like it. Ours had the hidden headlights too, as well as a 383/4 barrel under the hood. It was dark green with wood trim. The little power bulges on the hood said 383 on them. The interior of our old car was the same color as the one pictured. Just seeing the pictures brught back memories. I wish I could afford it. I'd almost consider selling the DeSoto wagon to get it. I hope it goes to a good home. At least with the 318 in it, it won't get bought by someone just looking to score the engine out of it. CaptCarl
