    Found Some Good Parts

Never know what you will find in a self serve yard. Spotted a 64 New Yorker (C body same as my 64 880 wagon) Had bucket seats and arm rest . Cruise control and icing on the cake un silenced air cleaner with the correct base and valve covers ,if you are into Mopars you know this air cleaner is a pretty good prize. Should go into the 64 pretty easy.

    Bubble GM CHSL LED project

I picked a couple of Escape third brake lights last week, and installed one. I found out that you have to pull the wires out and get the resistor (29 ohm) and diode to keep the LEDs from self destructing. I made a couple of small clips from sheet brass to hold the bar with the LEDs to the bottom of the assembly. I cut a small groove in each end of the white portion to locate the bar as well. The ground light clip is the one on the left, and the end with the resistor goes to that end, and the one with the diode goes to the positive on the right side. I removed the clips from the light bar, and bent the tabs down for clearance. If you remove the wire clips from the light bar, and solder the wires to the tang, then bent the tang down. I also soldered the wires to the light clips. To make sure the spring tension on the contacts for the connector strip I put a couple pieces of scrap wood where the original light bulb was located. If anyone wants to convert, I have a few extra LED bars for $18 each.

    59 Villager - WHAT A SURPRISE :) Mine is red/white one.
Can see is in for serious shop work.

As for my Villager: just converted to dual exhaust.
    Before: 2" single
After: 2.25" duals, "H" pipe, Magna flow mufflers.

Haha, hoarder is a word I hear a lot!
The car is originally from Florida. The previous owner got it in the same condition as I did. It was the owner before that who started a complete restoration.
There is a stack of receipts for work that was done all dating back about 10-15 years and shortly after that it appears the restoration stopped. Chassis and engine were completely rebuilt and almost all chrome redone. It's a great big jig saw puzzle right now but fortunately all the parts have been bagged and tagged.

Street Rod Garage in Grant? If so, I've driven by it a couple times and you wouldn't think those beautiful chassis come out of that place. Just looks like a regular auto shop from the outside. Also, if it is the place in Grant, make some time to check out the Cathedral Caverns.
