    Welcome aboard!
I think 17" torque thrust wheels or these traditional looking 5 spokes would look sweet on your wagon. These look like American Racing or American Eagle alloys.

    Ummm... Don't. ;)

Seriously, I have heard that dropping the front slightly to give it some rake might help fuel mileage.

Check out some of the 16" or 17" factory alloys that came on the later '92 - 2006 or so Crown Victorias or Mercury Grand Marquis'....

I believe the bolt pattern is the same as yours.....

Welcome from Florida. Keep in mind the dips in the curb areas of our Florida roads for water run off.

Bolt pattern, didn't the 1978 country squire have the larger bolt pattern compared to the Cougar posted and these wheel offerings? Iether way I'm sure you will find the offset is very wrong for a full size .

Well.... I am kind of an airbag guy.
Solves all the rough road issues and gives a dynamite look when parked.
    Researching bags now.
I'm thinking a nice set of chrome reverse wheels. Tint the windows and Rock it.
