    Hello everyone,

I'm posting this here because I'm in somewhat of a hurry. The bodyshop called today and said the old taillight I gave them fell apart and they need passenger side taillight lens and bezel for my 1978 Caprice.

Does anyone have or know of a taillight lens and bezel (passenger side) for a 1978 caprice?

    Thanks

That sounds about right haha. Would the aluminum bezel around the lens be any good? I got a call from the body shop today and my inlaws are in but I've had to spend much of today searching for this part.

Have you checked www.car-part.com? There are a bunch of yards that say they have them.

If 1984 taillights will fit, I have a driver-quality pair that you can probably have for the cost of packing and shipping.

car-part was an enormous help, thank you. Unfortunately, though these cars were the same for many years, the taillights were unique to each year and model, Caprice and Impala.

I also must say that many of these people working at these scrapyards are the dumbest or laziest people on the face of the planet. Not all of them, but many of them. Good grief I was so frustrated calling so many of those people on the list, yet, I was still glad to at least have a list to call.

Any luck yet? I know you're looking for '78 specific and others on here have offered different years. I know of an '87 I'd be willing to pull.

I'm on my lunch break right now and came in to use a computer. I literally just ordered one. It's not perfect and it was more than I should have had to pay but the body guy needs it to make sure the panels are aligned correctly before he can paint, so I was in a bind.

    Thanks for the help everyone.
