Ok, ran into an interesting situation with the front seat in my
    62 Ford Country Sedan
I have had the wagon almost a year now, Oct 31 actually
    oh well.
So yesterday I took the seat out again, but this time I noticed
something funny... the backrest is hinged on both sides, it is one
piece. the seatback is being held by by 3 bolts from underneath.
I found out today that Ford last built a 2dr wagon in 61
(ranch wagon) but I have found no info on if they had a one piece
    backrest...
Can anyone shed more light on this...
    Best
    Dave

You can recline the seat within limited parameters, by loosening the bolts and setting the seat inclination to your desired position. My '68 Dodge truck has the same feature.
