Ive owned several wagons thru the years, just bought a really decent 59 Parkwood yesterday and ready to start playing with it a bit. I build custom cars and bikes, fabrication of all sorts at my shop, check it out on FB "Gas Axe Chop Shop". I get to squeeze in a project of my own from time to time and will enjoy being back into the wagon scene..
Welcome, looking forward to some progress of your wagon. Feel free to share some of your shop projects, also.
current project I am currently building a bike for the Artistry In Iron show in Vegas comming up the first week of October, NO time for anything else at this time and its killing me!! I have to replace the gas tank on the wagon, install seats, fix a couple of side glasses then I can drive the wagon. It will get a CLR scrub down, neatened up a bit, speedy rat turd removal and put in in the road!!
hello from fla, as you will see we have a few new 59 owners. the gas tank will be a tough one as it only fits the wagon and might even be 6 or 9 pass specific
tank I read that a 60 wagon or El Camino will fit, I found one of each in very good shape. He is willing to sell the wagon one at a great deal I think, he is checking on shipping. The floor area is pretty loose just in the rear, Im going to replace it so I figured I could make about any tank that is close work out just fine
I've also known the '59 and '60 Wagon and El Camino Gas Tanks to be the same. They are very hard to find in good condition and if you found a good one pretty quick, that would be pretty lucky. Welcome to the site by the way. Bill
to the group. Nice to see you still enjoy playing with toys even when you do it for a living. Add some photos of your projects anytime. We might have a few 59 Chevy wagon owners among us.
