I have a soft spot for the 50 thru 59 wagons, probably because I grew up ridding in the pack during this period of time.

I would like to see what your 50 thru 59 wagon looks like. HRP

Thanks. It's just our parts hauler and vacation get away wagon.
As a Ford guy you may like to know it has T-Bird front bucket seats and a 1987 Escort third brake light.
Those are 80's Camaro arm rests and the door panels are simulated 57 Bel aire style. Far from traditonal.

Every car we take to Daytona seems to stop running right at that bar!

I love the way you've upgraded your interior with parts from different (newer) vehicles - and it all looks well-integrated.

    I owe you a cold drink!
The reason I bought those T-Bird buckets was the wagon had very large awkward van buckets in it and almost impossible for a kid to get into the back seat.
I chose those seats because the basic pattern matched the already R & P back seat. The rear of those buckets have a removeble panel that I put the same black carpet as on the floor and rear section of the wagon.
Some people plan for years when building a car. I sort of change my mind as I go depending on what's available.
I saw an 80's Camaro that I liked the door armrests and also saw a junked Camaro next to a truck stop I would stop at while working. I used my coffee break time to buy and remove them.
Don't tell my boss. I still had a coffee as I was truckin on down the line.
While in our dining room I was trying to think of a modern third brake lite for the wagon. My 1987 Escort was in the drive right outside the patio doors. An 87 Escort third brake light fits in a hole in the roof. I cut a matching hole in a perfectly good 55 Chevy wagon roof.

Had this 55 Chevy Wagon several years ago. It was a nicely restored 2door Handyman Wagon. I am told it is still in the Rochester area but I have not seen it around.
The other is a 56 Chevy 210 2door wagon that I used to create my current vision of what I thought a 56 ElCamino might have looked like if they had made one.

I love the El Camomad. I keep forgetting to ask. Have you had it at Daytona Turkey Run several years ago? Seems like we saw it or another similar.

Never been to Turkey Run yet. I have been to Detroit for Woodward Dream Cruise with it the past 4 years.

Thanks. We did see a 1956 El Camino but forgot what color it was. From what I remember it was nice too.
Also a bunch of late model El Camino look alikes and modern Nomads. Some company was there that makes them and kits to update later GM wagons.
