ModelT1 thanks. Bought the car 4 weeks ago. Had to get a lot of little things done and a lot more to do.

Olds Weighty Eight - good luck, I broke a head bolt on my 350 sbc. Went to drill it out so I could start the EZ Out and it turned right into the water jacket. That's where it's staying, hasn't caused any overheating issue (yet)

The wheels are actually original aluminum alloy wheels. They are hard to clean with all the nooks and crannies.

We drove the wagon to the Williamston for the "Spring Water Festival" last Saturday and entered the car show held at the fire department.

To our amazement we were awarded the Best Ford trophy,I was kinda shocked,,there were some extremely nice Fords in attendance.

You don't expect a wagon to come out on top,but we were happy with the Fireman's decision. HRP

I finally got the front end job finished. On Saturday, I used a wire wheel on most of the parts and then painted them. I took Sunday off from working on the car and finished most of the assembly on Monday. New shocks came in on Tuesday and I installed them and got an alignment today. It's ready for the road.

Eagle I like your paint drying rack. Between seeing how parts went down the assembly lines on hooks at Cat and at the old original Harley factory in Milwaukee I used coat hanger wire and hung parts from my garage rafters and tree limbs.

That's my 80 year old dad's chin up bar contraption he made a few years ago. He still uses it almost daily.

OK, installed the Moog Coil Springs: Variable Rate today. Sits an inch or so higher. Sprayed on some Summit Racing chassis paint. In the next week or so getting ready for some wood grain work. Also polishing the stainless where the rubber side molding used to hangout.

Drove the Marquis today; About 166 miles to and fro. Had some MPG readings; About 18.68 MPG (264.65 miles, multiple trips) and 22.4 MPG (86.65 miles.) A/C used along with the tape player for iPod use. Later after coming home, went and used some metal buffer on the rear bumper after deeming it OK to use and found a bunch of exhaust residue on the left side of the bumper; Cleaned most of that up.

You can get aftermarket side molding material that looks close to the original to fit in those original strips - stick on with tape.
