Hey everyone, Glad to find this forum. I have owned a lot of old cars in the past and had one wagon a few years ago, sold it and have been trying to buy it back with no luck. It was a 55 chevy handman. Those now are out of my price range, so I have been looking at mid 60's chevy's. I found a nice 66 Impala wagon that is rust free and in pretty good shape with new wheels/tires/brakes,etc that I am thinking about buying.
to the forum. Don't give up on that 1955 Chevy handyman. Like a fool I traded mine while at a large car event. The new owner lived nearby and it took me three years to get MY handyman back. Thy are not out of your price range if you look for a good deal. Your name is not Terry is it? You can't have it back!
We're knot alllowd to make tiypoos here! I really like a 56 Chevy better all though never had a 56. That looks like a nice wagon project. Check it out and let us know. We can help you spend your kids' enheritance.
Welcome, uevnwag. That '66 looks pretty straight so stop thinking and start buying! What engine does it have? Couldn't quite read the fender badge, but I'm thinking a 327?
aboard! That '66 looks to be a good candidate. I would cruise it just like it sits. It looks good with the worn original paint and updated wheels. It sits really nice, too. Although a '56 Handyman is a very cool ride, like you said, they've gotten really pricey to buy...unless you find someones project that they got tired of and need to move quickly. Good luck with your decision.
