Hi guys, I have a question related to the paint code on my 1967 Country Squire. I finally got the wagon home yesterday. The VIN lists the car as having paint code "I" which is not listed as a color available for the 1967 wagons. It is an option for the 1967 Mustangs. The color is "Metallic Lime Gold." It appears the car left the assembly line with this color and possibly did not have the wood moldings and decals that the Country Squire is renowned for. Has anyone seen this before? Is this common or somewhat rare? I found a 1967 Galaxie sporting the same color online. The car looks pretty sharp. I'm undecided whether I want to add the moldings/decals to the car after it eventually sees paint. I think I will repaint it the Lime Gold eventually. Any feedback or thoughts are appreciated. I have attached the VIN affirming that the car is a Country Squire. There seemed to be some confusion/disagreement to this when I posted pictures of the car in the welcome/new member forum recently because the car is missing the moldings/decals. Thanks! Mike
The third & fourth digits of your VIN ('74') decode the wagon as a 10-passenger Country Squire. This color code chart indicate that 'Lime Gold' was available on the full size Ford http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?manuf=Ford&year=1967&con=ym&model=Galaxie&rows=50
