No its not a wagon... its a SUV, but since it is a factory woody, I thought I would post it. I have never seen one personally before. Has anyone else? I like that concept.
I may have seen one back in '85 - can't really remember. They called it a "Woody TCA package" - what does "TCA" stand for? The design of the moldings and overlay lead me to believe that this could have been a "dealer-installed" kit. Usually though, dealers prefer to have striping vendors do this kind of installation.....
TCA used to mean Trans Canada Airlines! Anyway the pic doesn't show up. Like they moved the link on you.
I find the pic of the ad interesting as it depicts a well-to-do guy going to the fancy country club for a cocktail party in his faux-woody GMC S-15 Jimmy . This was in '85 before the SUV craze hit in the early nineties, so people who previously wouldn't have bought a truck-type vehicle like that started to, thanking it was so cool to own now. I guess GM was being forward thinking then, of course too bad for them it was Ford with their Explorer that tapped into that craze.
jeep used to make a lil wagoneer as a woody then later the Briarwood package on the cherokee (very rare option package).
