I'm in fl and would like to connect with a fellow wagon lover to take over the care of my 1969 Pontiac Catalina wagon. I wish I was more mechanically inclined and I would keep it, but I'd love to see it go to someone that would love her dearly.

Welcome to the nuthouse we call Home. Maybe you should tell us what all your wagon needs. Someone around here is bound to have run into the same problem before. We have a couple of members with 69 Pontiac Safaris. Maybe they can give you the guidance to help you keep your lovely old wagon! Good luck, either way.

Where in Florida are you? You might want to take some pics of your wagon to help generate interest.

:Welcome:Good luck. What he said----------^^^ We're both toward the upper center or NW section of the state. It helps to know where the wagon is to get someone interested.

    Thanks for the welcome!

Thank you for the welcome. I am in east central Florida. My wagon is 69 Pontiac Catalina, she is need of an alignment and some other front end work. I've been told that the lifters are bad. There are a few rust spots on it too, mostly on the left rear fender and the edges of the hood.
I bought it a few years ago, I was shopping for a van and saw a pic of it and had to go see it, I fell in love at first site and said if I could reach the pedals (I'm 5'2") I would buy it! I loved driving it. My partner at the time was very mechanically inclined and was helpful in maintaining it, when we separated and the alignment in the car started to go I just parked it and put a for sale sign on it.

Not to be a ball buster, but Florida is a large state and to say that you're in east central Florida is rather vague. I also would recommend a few pics.
A potential buyer is not going to go by your description.
If you want to generate interest, this is the place.
A '69 Pontiac wagon is cool car...a bit on the large side, but cool never the less.:ttiwwp:

    Otherwise :Welcome:

I agree with longroof. All but the ballbuster part. I have a feeling this wouldn't include you.:slap:
If you live near Crystal River, Hudson, Tampa or whatever don't be afraid to tell. The government all ready know exactly where you are and they're the bad guys.
And picture are a must when selling anything. Gas costs too much to just be riding around when not sure.
Personally I think you need to get it aligned and enjoy driving the wagon. Maybe a can of Myracle Oil will free up the lifters.

I agree with you, Cat. There's no reason to be secretive. It's not like we're gonna spy on you...that's the government's job. :camera:
I also think getting it aligned and drivable is a step in the right direction.
You can then drive it to cruise nights or car events and place a sign on it.
Adding some Marvel to it might just free up those lifters...good suggestion.
