My name is James and I recently purchased a 1964 Vista Cruiser after a lengthy search for a restorable 67 Vista Cruiser not too far away. I figured an older Vista Cruiser is just as good to fill the Station Wagon itch. Learned to drive in a Vista Cruiser. Have owned numerous 1967's and a few 70-72's. My recent 64 Vista is a project started by another person who needed to sell it. All the top windows are already out and ready for bodywork as are the side windows. He also supplied hole-free floor pans to replace the unwanted vented ones for Fred's feet. Lucky for me my brother is a highly-skilled welder with 35 years behind the mask. The car currently sits on the trailer awaiting it's place in the shed I am building to house the car and tools while I finish building the shop. I will take pictures and post them when I begin the tasks of unloading and work commences. James
Welcome, James! Wow - a wagon project and a garage project at the same time - you've got your hands full! You might need another forum as well: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/ When you get a chance, start a 'project' thread here, to document your experiences. (Sub-forum of 'Cosmetics and Restoration' section): http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32 Glad you're here! Marshall
Was in Knoxville in 81 for the first time ,drove through from Nova Scotia non stop in a 79 Trans am. checked in to hotel after midnight and about 5am there was a jack hammer out the front window .. on a backhoe! Apparently they were rebuilding the city for the worlds fair. We drove through an area called "hogs holler' is that a possability?
