My law prof was one A-Type go-getter. He was law-grad from the University of Toronto's law school, and a member of the Bar; a grad from the North Dakota University's law school and a member of the ND Bar. The youngest member of the Canadian Law Society at 35! Co-owner of the Sudbury Wolves CHL Hockey Club, and the CEO of the company who designed and made the safest Hockey Helmets of the day (early 70s).

His course was mandatory for both the Engineering and Business students (I had him for both, since I was doing two tracks) and I had just left the Armed Forces, so I was used to bravado and BS.

First day, first class, this hockey jock walks in, slams the class door, and says, "My name is Sherry Bassin, and when I'm done with you "terds", you're gonna know LAW! I think he stole the line from "Paper Chase".

Well, here I am, laughing my a$$ off, and my classmates are cringing. He looks at me, and asks me why I'm laughing; I said, "I just left a bunch like you in the Army! They called them butt corporals!"

He retorted with, "I can tell we're gonna have a great 5 years!" I said, I hope you'll give us a few lines from your Lawyer Jokes 101 class!" He broke up laughing, and went for a smoke! End of class! :rofl2:

The last I heard, he sold the Sudbury Wolves and bought a club in Wisconsin. Good Business Law prof! Horrible organizer! He'd lose our tests and exams in his car, or his office, all the time. He was on sabbatical to teach us, from a major Toronto Law firm. He called it his parachute job. We learned a lot, by studying by ourselves, because he rarely showed for class. He eventually went back to his parachute job, and Our university made it a first year course for us, and a term course for paralegals' and secretaries' courses.

So do you actually get a Lawyer Jokes 101 course? :rofl2:

Nah! Not even a barrack-room lawyer. I do read all the fine-print though.

Got into a tussle recently with our house-insurance agent over the basic coverage, which includes, in 2014, in an urban house, coverage for my Horse and Wagon! $10,000! Just not my Station Wagon!

Nope, I never act as my own devil's advocate. I always consult with one of the best in Western Canada, IF I get a squiggly hunch that something's off. Ticks salespeople right off too! :rofl2:

I have great respect for lawyers I've worked with when I owned and ran my different companies. They cost money, but their advice saved me oodles and I had no issues to deal with later.

Anyway, let me tell you a Lawyer joke.

This Lawyer decided to take a train ride from X to Y, since the airport was all fogged in, anyway. The conductor guided him to quiet car, so he could check his paperwork and prepare himself. They even brought refreshments, so he had a coffee. When he looked up, he noticed a priest across the aisle. The priest looked up, and smiled. The lawyer and he started to chat.

The lawyer asked the priest, an Irishman, "Father, what do you do when you slip up in one of your sermons?" The priest pondered that for a moment, smiled and said, "Its funny that you should ask that my son. Just last Sunday, I was giving a sermon on Sin, and of course lying was the emphasis. I meant to say that all Liars are the work of the Devil, but I ended up saying that all lawyers are the work of the Devil. It was such a small mistake that I ignored it." The lawyer promptly thanked and went back to his seat.;)

Well I had to go to the office yesterday so I could not work on the wagon, but my partner came over and got a good bit done.

The motor mounts are fabb'd and installed. The trans is installed and the trans mount is fabb'd and installed as well. He had to cut the tunnel to make room for the transmission so we will need to put a patch panel in the tunnel but that is no big deal.

He found that the front sump oil pan that we got will not work, so last night we ordered a Milodon pan that is shallower and should fit with some room to spare. The pan should come in in the next day or two and we can do some test fitting.

Next on the list is to put the new oil pump in and the oil pan on. Then it will be on to wiring the engine pay and installing the processor.

    Things are moving along!

My grill and hard to find in good shape marker lights came in:

The motor and trans are now set in place, the headers are mounted, and the front brackets are almost all on (power steering still needs to be done).

Getting the motor to fit, particularly the oil pan, was harder than I thought it would be, but with some cutting and welding, it is done.

    Motor pics:

Next we move on to finishing the front dress on the motor and radiator install and then we will begin doing the wiring and the processor install.
I think (hope) we are still on track to have the car together and rtunning by about the end of March.....

Are they facing the wrong way on purpose, or are you going to make a crossover pipe like the old Y block Fords had? Or are you gonna have some kind of wild dual turbo setup?

It looks turbo ready but this project will be NA.

We will be looping the exhaust back down and around to clear the suspension.

We could not go straight back because the steering box is in the way.

Plus, I wanted to show Stormin' Norman that sometimes you have to think outside the box when doing headers! :p

Thise are Mustang shorty headers and it was faster and cheaper to use them reversed than to build a complete set of custom headers.
