    Hello to you all,

I haven't been on here a while due to on-going illness and so forth. Well, lots to tell you, Have done a magazine feature with my now old wagon Dorothy (The blue Chevrolet Caprice SW) and was offered, (but had to turn it down last minute sadly due to poor health) a commercial on TV. (Gutted)

Well, I have sadly sold Dorothy my Blue Chevrolet Caprice, but, when the guy came to collect, He turned up in another Chevrolet Caprice. He wished to discard the car after the sale and had brought his mechanic down to check mine over and to drive his old one back, (His only car) But I couldn't resist it, so made him a silly offer, and He took Dorothy on, and left me "Fester" The black dream machine!

Happy much? yes!!! He drives superbly. Paintwork poor but who cares?! Its a station wagon. Have freed up some much needed cash AND I have a station wagon.

Someone was smiling down on me that day. Thankyou. Best to all of you.

    WagonQueen.

It's great when life works out. I love the new wagon in black. Does it have the burgundy interior?

    (y) Nice deal! That black wagon is sharp and looks to be the same year model too.

Hope you're feeling better and glad to hear that you still have a wagon! Funny how things work out sometimes.

Nice! You sold the blue one and got the black one. And a little cash, to boot! Good on ya! You are still a wagon owner. Very cool!

Thanks all, - Yes its uncanny the way things go.

The Black Chevy is the same year '88 and has a Bordeaux red interior, with rear air suspension and a leather padded roof.

The paint has faded bad, and every panel has a dink or scratch which is a pity but I can live with that. It's lived with the same owner on a London suburb street for 14 years. And London is hell on earth these days if you own a car, especially if your daily driver is a huge American car. - He assures me he's now hired a lock-up nearby for Dorothy! :whew:

I know that all 50's thru 60's Buicks and Cadillacs are females. That is obvious. But I can't tell if my 55 Chevy wagon is a male or female.

It's also the name of male dogs. So you are borderline.
A real Texan might call his Buick Buford but never Bertha!

I'm sorry you were sick, and hope you get through that successfully. Welcome back, and congratulations, you were a former wagon owner for, maybe an hour? The new one is spectacular, and I bet she won't disappoint either!
