For some time now I have been chasing a water leak that APPEARS to be happening at the base of the windshield (drivers side). After a good rain storm, there is a small puddle of water centered on the driver side floor board ( I removed the carpeting some time ago) where the angled portion of the floor meets the flat part of the floor. I have used a tube of silicone rubber around the base of the windshield with no success. With the amount of wiring, hoses, air conditioning duct work and associated components, it is just about impossible to look up under the dash and see anything. If I use a garden hose directed at the windshield base, I do not see any trace of a leak. It almost seems like like it is leaking from the door jam and traveling horizontally. There have been times when I see small water droplets at the base of the dashboard slightly to the right of the steering column. Any suggestion? John

Most time any leak the lands on the floor is coming from around the windshield. I would remove any trim if there is any from around the glass and then clean all around the glass, then seal it with a good silicone.
