My wife's kid sister is a lawyer, and sorta looks like that first brunette, and mischievious enough to do the same thing with that key! I'll have to send her the link. One more wrench in her girlie toolbox.:rofl2:

74 Country Squire - Window Sticker

Yesterday, I was going through some old paperwork I found in a drawer. Among the stacks was the old window sticker and sale paperwork from when my grandfather bought his 74 C.S. in October of 1974. Sticker price - $6,020. It was in pieces but I managed to re-connect it. I'll scan it in and post the image.

I never knew he was such a good record keeper. They got rid of the car 10 years later in 1984 when he thought the frame was rotting out. After doing work on a Mark IV of the same year, I know now it was not the frame but the isolators supporting the bumper. The upholstery was brown and was so comfortable to ride and drive. I hate to think of what happened to it, but I'm sure it went to the crusher.

With the VIN , which I have, does anyone know of a way to see if a car is still actively registered (not specific name or state, just an active VIN search)?

My old man used to stun corvette owners with his 1958 Hemi-powered 5,800 pound Imperial. He'd say they always looked better in the rearview mirror. The old LY1 Hemi - brute force in a silk dress.
