This is the car we built and took on the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour.

I bought the car out of Oklahoma a couple of years ago. It was originally a 289 cu. in. 2 bbl. car with an auto and looked like this when I got it:

After I got it to Georgia, I did some odds and ends on it and got teh AC up and running. That is when the problems started. I could only run the AC when it was cool enough to ride with the windows open, otherwise it would overheat.

So we decided to take the drivetrain from a 5.0 1991 AOD Mustang and put it in the Falcon.

As is typical, we could not find a stopping point to we ended putting a tear drop hood on it, front disc brakes, rebuilding the entire front end, replumbing the AC so it is now icey cold on demand, adding decent stereo gear, air shocks (not air ride) in the rear, Rocket brand wheels, a Horn Blowers train horn, ProCar front seats, and a complete redo on the interior carpeting (including plenty of sound deadening (dynamat and jute).

This is how the car sits now:

This is one of my favorite cars to cruise around in. It is a great conversation starter and always popular at the cruise ins.

This winter's upgrade for it will be a new dash cluster. I am thinking of having my friends at Florida 5.0 put together an Autometer cluster populated with Speedo, Tach, Oil pressure, Temperaturre, Fuel, and Ammeter gauges.

Let me know what you folks think.

Bet you're thinking about Partner's Pizza? Sprayberry's Barbeque is what Newnan is really known for.

    Where's the shop?
