I wouldn't cal it a collectible. But it seems wagons are becoming more and more of the in thing. I know I love my Custom Cruiser which is the Olds version of your car. I know mine get's lot's of looks and is a great all around car.
I'm new to this also. I just got an 88 mercury wagon. I was surprised by the NADA value but we think it is just cool. Love it so far. What kind of shape is your wagon in?
We make them collectibles, for ourselves anyway. Whatever TLC you give 'er will add to its value. Glad you came aboard.
Welcome welcome welcome!! Glad to see someone aboard with the same ride as me!! They are technically 'collectible' at least in the state of Wisconsin when licensing, it can be licensed as a collector car. Right now, they have more went from a staple, to an outdated piece of yesteryear, and have kind of found a niche interest (that being us). Overall, awesome cars. I love mine, bought it for 500 bucks and the only work I've done to it is new wiper blades, new blinker bulbs, and one new 20 dollar tire. They're swell cars!
collectible?.... not unless all the others have been derbied or rusted away sorry...didnt mean to be disrespectful ///and the only thing that matters is what you think!!
Hey now Rev, easy on the 87 Caprice Estates now. They're a dieing breed just like the rest of the yachts! I'm just raggin ya, I don't consider mine a collectible, she's more just an oddity or a novelty in these parts. Just not something you see every day. (Well, I encounter one caprice wagon besides mine and a electra wagon, but that's besides the point)
Collectable, schmectable. Who cares. I don't think anyone here is trading them like commodities. We have 'em 'cause we like 'em.
Yup, I can't think of a single one of my friends who hasn't asked to buy mine as Demo-Derby material. Just makes me misty thinking about my poor car going out that way. I'll run her till she can't run no more, then I'll put her out as a lawn-ornament. One of those "I'll get to that project someday" kinda things.
