    HAPPY NEW YEAR:cheers::drink:

Okay, I held back my real toast to see what others posted. :drink:

---I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or because I am retired. These months and weeks pass as if they are days and minutes. Old friends, neighbors, and relatives back home are passing swiftly. This leaves the thoughts of how short life really is and leaves questions as to how many more days I have left. Another birthday will come and go this month. As I think of it and birthdays past, I wonder if this will be my last. After all, many years ago I never expected to see half this many birthdays or new years. As we say good nite or take a drive, we never know if we will wake up or return.
----This is supposed to be a toast to welcome yet another year to my station wagon friends. Yet at times like this many memories of many yesterdays mingle with the happy thoughts of many more tomorrows. Trying to keep this short and sweet I toast each and every one of you for all the good times, the memories of those yesterdays, and the hopes of still more tomorrows.
---Although we are nearly 10,000 strong, just a few keep the forum alive. Yes others sometimes pop in and out. Life and life changes determine what we have time for as the days swiftly pass. We greet new members and say our last goodbyes to some. Others just drift off places unknown . We hope they will return someday. Our members are like our long roofed toys. All shapes, sizes, ages, colors, and from everywhere in this great world. Each is special and each so fragile.
---I lift my glass to those who keep me laughing, smiling, and dreaming. Thank you and may you have a great 2014. The good Lord willin I’ll be here to bug you next year.:drink:

To dear friends (Most of whom I've never met in person, but dear friends none the less - I did meet one in person yesterday, though!)......

May your burdens be light in 2014, and may your blessings be overflowing...

(Can I 'toast' with my coffee mug?)..

    Happy New Year!

Sorry I'm late to the party. I went shopping this morning, got home about 30 mins ago and the smoke alarms are blazing in the house...very scarey sound to come home too.
However there is no fire just alot of smoke, Daughter left a pot on her stove in the upstairs apartment, we couldn't even see across the room...cough cough. Son came over with a LARGE fan, windows are all open and it is airing out nicely.
Then I go to log on here and I have no connection...we reset the router and here I am...

wishing EVERYONE an awesome NEW YEAR.

    Now where is my tea???

Wow! Fannie that's a heck of a New Years toast. Glad things are fine now. Dollie left something boil dry a few weeks ago and it filled the house with smoke. Scary and smelly. Strange about the router. I also had a router malfunction a few weeks ago. A friend was sanding on a car in our yard and was using a bad extension cord. My router is out in the garage so we can use it outside and in the RV so I didn't know why internet stopped. It was the circuit breaker in the garage. I panacked. Life can not go on without internet.

Okay boys and girls I'm waiting for more toasts. I have my wine glass filled to the top, with Cola!

Oops, my bad. I posted the following today but put it on the 2013 toast thread. Here it is on the 2014 one!

It's 12 noon here in Jersey and I've my freshly brewed cup of Folger's. Happy New Year to all my friends on swf. One of my New Year's resolutions, (actually my only one!!), is to come on my favorite web site more often where nobody thinks I'm nuts because I'm so into wagons! I'm really hoping to get another one by the end of the year and hold onto the Colony Park. I've got to find another garage space first, however, and it'll have to be a big one as I'll be looking for either a '68 Squire or a '73 to '78 CP or Squire. It won't be any time soon, but if things work out as I want them to, I'll have two long roofs by next year's toast. Wish me luck.
I do hope this year is one of the best for all my forum buddies and everybody has a better '14 than they're even expecting. Here's to you all!!

Durn it. Just got back from town and forgot to buy egg nog. On the other hand NO fruitcake.

Snooterbuckets what makes you think nobody thinks you're nuts? Good luck on your next stationwagon. Hope to see you here more often telling us about your newest wagon projects. Have fun with Folgers in your cup.

    Dennis get to work!

My toast for 2014 has finally been posted toward the beginning of this thread. I wanted to be fashionably late.
