After posting a reply about the 63 plymouth I have looked through (http://www.myspace.com/classing) my space. I have to be honest here. I havent looked at this for quite a while. Now I remember why.. I made alot of idiotic decisions. Just want to know if there is anybody else out here that regrets what they sold. To be completely honest I have owned almost 70 vehicles (I kid you not). Some were a POS most were decent. I could fill this forum with stories about each one. I know I tend to get long winded most of the time. Just want some reasurance that I am not the only one who has regrets. Lets hear about the ones that YOU let slip away.

I hope you wont be getting nostalgic about that Subi.

My '67 Buick GS400 convertible or one of many GS Rivieras, they all did everything well. Good comfort and ride, good handling(for the era) and great big V-8 power. Gas was well under a buck so fuel economy meant nothing.
Then there were my Cadillac days. Did you know how easily a '60 Cadillac will bury the speedometer needle? And how quickly people will yield to such a beast in 1985?
Or, gotta mention here, the '64 Impala wagon or '67 Chrysler wagon.
I remember a friend being absolutely giddy to get $2000, TWO THOUSAND, for his '70 LS-6 Chevelle in 1974. There is a car with a dubious past I'd love to reveal to it's current owner should it still exist in all it's numbers matching Barrett - Jackson/dumb money price up the ying yang glory.
Now look who is long winded..

My 1978 Ford Thunderbird Diamond Jubilee in silver/blue, fully loaded other than moon roof. And my 34k org mile 1975 Lincoln Mark V. Moondust silver on silver top and deep blood red leather, moon roof, sure track brakes, automatic climate & headlamp control......

I know these are not as rare and low production cars as some of you guys have sold off but they where in GREAT shape and they where part of why I drive Ford cars today.

I wish I would have just went to work instead of making a side trip in my 1960 Bel-Air, she'd still be with us today, may she rest in peace :(

Yes there are some that I let get away, but it was the best I could do at the time, so no use lamenting too much. Still though, if I could I would like to have been able to keep my '67 El Dorado. 1st year of the FWD, and with torsion bar front suspension, it could corner like most cars half its size. I used to date somone in Denver while I was living in Albuquerque. I routinely made the 510 mile trip (door to door) in under five and a half hours, and even at those speeds averaged almost 13mpg. My '78 Fiat X1/9. A wee little mid engined delight that was like a go-kart for big kids. You didn't get into it, you strapped it on. Who knew that only 78 horsepower could be so much fun? My '72 Jeep CJ-5 was fun mostly due to the 351W Ford V8 the PO had put into it. Four wheel burnouts, and the ability to run away from most cars I drag raced with it made it fun, 95mph on the interstate with the windshield folded and a bad front end made it terrifying.... My '34 Ford BB dump truck. Every time you drove it, it was like being in your own little parade. It was a daily driver for years. There are others, but these are probably the highlights. I want my 1967 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible back!!!! I didn't sell it though, it was stolen while I was on vacation....

the f150 was my baby, it was the truck i wanted since i was 12 and the body style came out. my wife makes fun of me because i actually shed a tear or two when i had to trade her in because of mpg.

the ram was a 600 dollar impulse buy and was a retired farm truck. but it was a tank! it had the 225 slant 6 and 3speed auto. but was pretty beat. i sold it and it is still on the road.

We used to have an 87 Dodge Power ram, a retired hog farm truck. The thing was a beast! It was my mom's daily driver to work. And it got 7mpg whether you were city, highway, pulling a trailer, it didn't matter, 7mpg.

    the f150 got 13mpg period!

the ram however....magically got about 25mpg hwy. maybe because of the tiny holley 1barrel carb.

Makes me think of my '98 F-250. It has a fuel injected 460. Extended cab, 4X4. I get 11 mpg, and just like the Ram, that mpg is the same whether empty, full, or towing my 1949 33 foot Spartan Royal Mansion travel trailer... Needless to say, I only drive the truck when I need to, which bites because between the payments and isurance it costs $425 a month just to see it parked 28 days out of any given month. It's almost paid off though:banana:
