I've been so busy with the Army I haven't been able to get on the site in awhile. So, I just wanted to drop a line and say I am still alive and the old 63 will be coming back out of storage in a month or so and will be parked at my house again. BUT...this year she is getting the heart transplant she so desires and needs. Just picked up an early 413hp engine (360hp/470 torq) w/pushbutton trans out of a low mileage car and this will be going into the engine bay very soon! Also planned is finishing the interior after welding in the new rear floorpans. Progress pics will follow soon. If anyone has a max wedge crossram laying around thats fairly reasonable please drop me a line.

That two door conversion looks so nice. Unique and well done. I was a career Navy man. I'm proud of what you do.

    Love your signature! :rofl2:

We had an old Navy carpenter board with us when we were kids. From our East Coast. He had the best jokes going.

My mother asked him to say Grace once for Thanksgiving. My dad and I both dropped our jaws in shock. About 15 people at the table, some were hoyty-toyty.

Old Fred Sweeney was surprised but not as flapped as my dad and I. We knew what Fred would say.

"Thank Christ thar ain't more of us, please pass the cake for christsake, Amen!"

Silence. Dead silence. and then, he died on the spot. Dinner was a bust. But my dad and I just winked at each other, both knowing the old fart lived well and passed with friends. He was 92.

Anyway, Fred had a few quiz questions for my mom (who had a good sense of humor). Mom was a high-fashion dressmaker. He asked her if she knew what every woman's greatest enemy was. She'd throw out all kinds of answers, and finally give up. Fred just smiled, lifted his hands to his chest and said "Gravity". Then ran out to help us in the backyard. My mother told that one to almost every woman that came to her for gowns. She said that Fred made her rethink her designs, so her customers could refit them over time. I mean if you're dropping $5,000 for a dress, you wanna get mileage, right?

Nice 63! Around 10 years ago I bought my wife a 63 Belvadere for her birthday.4 door slant six, push button, plain jane. BUT was all original with 60k miles. The car was an absolute gem. It even had the jacking instruckings sticker still attatched to the trunk lid. Paid $1,200 for it. The only thing wrong was the gas gauge didnt work.We had so much fun with that car. It honestly rode and drove like a 10 year old car. I have alot of pics of it on my old retired computer. Not a whole lot of rust. It wore its original paint nothing was hidden. Actually my "myspace" page has a few pics of it. What made me purchase the car for her (other than the fact it was a screeming deal) was the fact that I traded (gave) my brother my 1963 dodge 440 post. Talk about kicking myself in the rear everytime I think about it. I will try to find the link for that one. I traded for a 1967 Sport Fury 2 door Fast top. Fresh original 383 mechanically sweet but rusted very badly. I still love him though.. Here is the myspace page with tpics of the 63 plymouth and other toys I have had.. Havent updated it in years...
