I like the 66's. My parents had a 66 Bel Air wagon they special ordered with the HiPO 283, ps, pb, power glide electric rear window, roof rack and a/c. It's what I learned to drive on. We towed a Apache golden eagle camper trailer across country twice with it. The trailer and wagon were loaded to the hilt and still hauled. Plenty of power.

I remember my dad saying that $250 more for an Impala was highway robbery and just had more chrome to rust around.

 

I can't believe how many newcomers there are in just a few days! I got lost in my computer revival for a few days, and here's all these new folks! Wow! Welcome to forum.
