Thanks to all for your kind comments and Xaiver for posting this tragedy. Good news my son Darren made contacted last night and all is okay his end unlike a lot of people in the Philippines , again thanks to friends on SWF
It's unbelievable how much red tape those rescue workers have to go through to get into the remoter regions. If this happened to Japan, they'd long be rebuilding by now. That old 400 year old Spanish church, those refugees were filmed in, looked fully intact, from inside. Hopefully, they'll use those millions donated to rebuild their buildings to safe standards
Dennis: Good news indeed! We are counting our blessings as well. My partner's family lives near Manilla and they are all okay too, thankfully.
so sad My thoughts and prayers to all, when you see images like this you just have to send up a silent prayer for them
We had our staff meeting the other night. At this time of year we usually pick a family in need and use our staff fund that has been building all year to give this family a Christmas meal and gifts under the tree for everyone. However because of the giving community we are in the last couple of years all the families were taken care of. So this year it was discussed to send a donation to the Red Cross for the people in the Philippines. The Government is matching all donations if they are made to the Red Cross.
Awesome! Proud of you lot! Prayers going to those in the Philippines and for those that were affected by the 55 tornadoes of November 17th.
