Hello to you all. Hope your enjoying your Sunday. Day of rest Sunday Roast, Strawberries and Cream a spot of tennis etc etc. Well, not this Sunday, because I went to a car show some 15 miles from us at the Royal Bath and West Showground Shepton Mallet. Was a good array of cars, I specifically focused more on the wagons here for you all to feast your eyes on. Enjoy. PIC 1 and 2 the drive there, bit of rain through the country lanes, PIC3 A stunning Morris Minor Traveller, Dorothy in the line-up between a Saab and a TVR, and a rare Hillman Imp Estate.
various outside PIC1 Singer Vogue estate, PIC2 Morris Traveller Trailer, PIC3 The line up of more cars (various) PIC4 Anglia/POP hotrod.
More cars. PIC1 Dodge Dart Swinger PIC2 Jaguar XJ8 Police Car PIC3 and 4 More of the line-up of cars outside
Some more and then home. PIC1 "The Saint" Volvo P1800 (newly restored), PIC2 heading back to Dorothy, PIC3 Ford Prefect estate wagon (never seen one of these before) PIC4 Heading home PIC5 Home safely snug in her lean-to!
If thats Ford Prefect, it needs a towel (only fans of Douglas Adams books will understand). I love the 69 Dart Swinger and the Morris Traveller. That Caprice wagon looks great as well. Thanks for sharing the pics.
I read in Roger Moore's autobiography that he owned a Volvo like the one he drove in "The Saint", during the time it was filmed. Great bunch of cars over there, must have been a really interesting show!
I love that little Hillman Imp. I remember seeing one or two over here in the states back when they were new. Not too many of them sold here though.....
