Hello wagon lovers.....finishing up this nice 57 Studebaker . All the patches are very small and metal. should finish this one in a month or so. At that time I will sell it. Most think it is a Chev without the chrome but when it is all together no doubt it is a Studie.... I would love to customize it and slam it to the ground but I am a " no Talent" at these kind of things so it will just stay stock. Spend 1000 on the rebuild of the 259 engine. Fresh bearings ground crank and bored 30 over rings and seals and valve job. Did most of the grunt work as I am a mechanic from the 60's . little back draft carb and lots of torque. Anyone that wants to add comments please feel free. Doug from ( Minnesota) retired in Florida! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Hey, Doug, Welcome! I did a 56 President 2 door wagon, which i sold about 10 years ago. I hotrodded it. Google "1956 Studebaker President station wagon" and the turquoise one is mine. 350/700R4, vintage Air, power windows and seat, nice little car. People used to tell me it looked like a Chevy. Some said they copied the 57 Chevy, to which I'd reply that they did it a year earlier than Chevy...........
jukebox. Welcome. Good luck on your Studebaker. Loye that body style. They are too rare to be messing up beyond mild custom work. Since members are supposed to use this time to introduce themselyes you should try to sell it later.

Dave, for several years we have been the caretakers of a 1950 Studebaker Commander 4-door sedan. First year automatic. Son recently traded it and cash to a friend for a pickup so we are still caretaking but no longer owning the 1950 Studie. When we found it the thing was sitting up on the roof next to a 1949-50 Chevy at an old diner called TIME WAS or LOST IN TIME. That was 24+ years ago. Sadly the timing was not right for this tiny town north of the Suwannee River so the joint was long closed when we passed that way again. We saved the engineless Studebaker still on the roof. It appeared to have been brush painted red with blacked out windows.
