I am the third owner of this daily driver 1965 Ford Falcon Futura wagon. It has about 180,000 miles on it, with about 60,000 miles on a "top job" with hardened valves. 289 cid with 2bbl 3 speed manual on column Very solid, never wrecked, never rusted Original white exterior, original blue interior All original except for windshield, muffler, AC compressor, tires, tail lenses, and seat belts. Everything works except for the radio and the dash switch for the electric rear window (window works with key in tailgate). Dealer option underdash air conditioner blows ice cold, using R12 refrigerant.
wagonz iz good Don, Let me be the 1st toyou. Nice little falcon you have there. One of the members here lives in Round Rock named Mike. He'll be along shortly and probably invite you to the party the next time they circle the wagons at 183 and 1431 Where the Albertsons waz before the twister took it out in '97 I think, Jer
Welcome to the forum, Don. I'd love to see more pictures of the Falcon, especially the dashboard. Always loved those little Fords.
Thanks for the compliments. I can only thank the previous owners for the beauty of the car, as I have only had to do mechanical work on it. The car spent its life belonging to one family in Oklahoma until I bought it. They told me that it was always kept in the garage. Unfortunately, they polished the Wimbledon White paint down to the primer in several places. Other than that, I have no complaints.
As requested: The guage to the left of the steering column is a vacuum meter installed by the previous owner. I guess he wanted to know right away if he had a vacuum leak.
