I had a 1973 LTD wagon and we run it for a few years and before that I had a 65 Ford wagon which we ran for a few years and a 65 Mercury wagon...Ah but little did we know cause was young and on the go....Had no way to take proper care of them and just run them hard...Being able to keep a car indoors makes a huge difference on it's longevity..Got a line on a 78 Mercury wagon but it takes a while for things to work through...

I drove a brand new one to cross the US from Detroit to Vancouver, WA to deliver it to a customer. One of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven. Got stopped in Montana by a nice State Trooper who told me that I should take it off the Cruise control down to the speed limit, from 90 MPH. He said, "Son its a long sucker, Montana. You might as well enjoy the view, just more slowly. OK?" No ticket. :whew:

Yup, I sure enough wish mine sat inside, my crown vic got to last year, but Dad says the Vette takes priority over my wheels, so outside she sits. Luckily warm weather is coming, and once I have a garage, she'll never sit out again.

I wish cops were still like that, my neighbor is a cop, pulled me over, a quarter mile from my house, going 50 in a 35, first time I ever got pulled over for speeding. Just chewed me out, wouldn't let me off with a warning. (Don't help he hates my dad)

The last cop that pulled me over though, was a week ago, I had just left my friend's house with my lites off and got about a block, when smokey was sitting in the parking lot. He pulled me over and as I was sitting there, I looked at the car I parked behind and noticed the light reflecting on it looked mighty amber. I had been driving with just my park lites on. As the cop was walking to me I yelled "S**it!!!, my lites are off!!!" The cop came up laughing, told me to turn my lites on and let me go.

hehe...I thought those might get your attention:evilsmile:

Well...the LTD is a 77...got it off the original owners about 8 years ago, with 76,000 miles....your gonna hate this:yup:...it sat in my yards for about 2 years before i even drove it!!!...(it was low on the priority list)

I just put it up for sale...cuz i never drive it!!...although I luv it!
    Its like driving a waterbed!!:thumbs2:

My Marquis ...I got about 14 years ago....I had left a note on the car 3 years prior..then 1 day he calls out of the blue!!
Turned out he only lived about 5 miles from me...and i had never seen the car before or after that day!!....wierd huh?

We bantered on the price for 2 days ...then his wife calls me and says ..."you can have it for what you offered..I dont care what he says!!"
:thumbs2:...its only got 82,000 on it NOW...its been to Portland Oregon 10 times and won 1st place in the Lowrider Magazine show a few years ago !!

    I also have a 79 Tbird Landau T top...and another 76 Marquis...a Rambler convert...a 59 International Ambulance..a 58 Anglia...a 59 Thames..and 14 wagons in the yard!!...:slap:

Note; and a few weeks back.. i scrapped a 87 Lincoln,a 78 Linc MK V,a 87 Ford wagon , a 78 Tbird and a 85 Tbird turbo coupe...they all had been sitting in the yard for years and i hadnt touched them!!:rednose:

So i hired a guy to take everything off them that i wanted and let him have the leftovers for scrap!:thumbs2:

    OH...and i thinking real serious about buying this 56 Meteor 2dr wagon that i found...dont need it...but i want it!!:rofl2:

Your LTD Landau looks to be a very clean car...Does it have the original vinyl roof on it....most are deteriorated. I am guessing as it has the 400M motor as in 77 & 78 a lot were going to that family of motor away from the 460....they deleted the center armrest in the back seat after 76 and I liked it in there....does it have the power window's...mine does not have power windows but has the power lock's and air condition...I have been watching for a power setup and there is a car in PG that may someday be the donor...I bought a 78 Merc in Vancouver cause it had the power passenger seat and put that in my LTD....made the warden happy...A couple more pictures of the interior and such would sure be nice of it....I have enough on my plate right now but is curious as to the asking price...
Do you have any picture's of your T bird....side shot of the T Roof and I am guessing as it has the trim over the top as you said it was the Landau...I have a 78 Landau and was thinking of putting the T Roofs into it...I looked at a couple of T Roof cars but they had been rode real hard and put a way real wet and the mold was firmly attached...of course still looking for a donar car for the T roof....seen a set on the island and another set in Vancouver in the Kiji thingy....of course need everything to go with the tops....to do an instal....
Right now I am just getting back to work after some medical stuff....and full intentions of doing stuff and enjoying me car addiction....
    Hugh.........
