I have been looking at the forums for awhile and think it is about time to join and say hello to all you wagoneers.
Thanks for the welcome..... I am looking for one-a fixer upper. 1963 ford country sedan "woodie" that won't break the bank. Have restored many cars over many years. It will be my "retirement project" after 40 years of teaching middle school.
Welcome to the nuthouse! There are often 63 Country Squires (that's the 'woody' wagon) up for sale, and some of them are even reasonably priced. Be prepared to travel a good distance to get one though. The good thing is that there are lots of members on here, so if you are interested in a car, there is almost certain to be someone around here who will go look at it for you and give you advice as to whether it is worth pursuing. In the mean time, join in and have fun.
Yeah, I was hoping you would want a '63 Ford wagon as a stable-mate to the 63 1/2 'sportroof' Galaxie (I think that's what they called them) I remember as a kid when they came out. Personally, I love the look of the big '63 Fords. My dad had a buddy that bought a brand new '63 XL hardtop - in turquoise. Boy that was a looker.... Welcome to the SWF..... Marshall
