Hello from always sunny, and usually hot, Phoenix, AZ!

So my latest aquisition is a 1965 Chevelle Malibu 4 door wagon. It has a decent new coat of white paint and a great light blue interior with the 283 2bbl powerglide transmission, PS, PB, AM radio and a power rear window. It's not a factory AC car but someone added an underdash unit at some point, it's all there but not currently working so I might just rip it out. I may regret that next summer...

I'm using it as my daily driver, 20 miles round trip to work. It runs super smooth and gets plenty of looks everyday. Other than replacing all the suspension rubber I have no big plans for it, just maintenance and enjoying the ride.

The same day I bought the Chevelle I found a 2003 Focus for my 17 y.o. daughter that also happens to be a wagon. I has just 34K miles and she loves it. So I went from zero wagons to two in a matter of hours.

    Besides the wagons I have a 1963 T-bird convertible. It's a 59K mile AZ original.

Coming up October 12th there's a big car show called the Cruise on Central here in Phoenix. Everybody brings out their favorite classic car and hangs out on a 1 mile stretch of Central Ave in downtown, recreating great memories of the 60's, 70's & 80's. I can't wait to get down there and show off the wagon!

    Here's the Chevelle...

    Welcome to SWF!

That Chevelle looks sharp. You should have fun with it.

We've got a few things in common. I used to own a '03 Focus wagon Pic here, from our gallery:

Sadly, I rolled it into a snow bank in October, 2010, got totalled. Our daughter is still driving her '04 Focus hatch. We've got at least one member with one of the new Foci......

I used to own a '62 T-Bird - a loooong time ago. Another project that I never got done.

Post up some more pics when you've got a chance.

Welcome to the nuthouse! That wagon you use as a daily driver is simply stunning. I would give serious thought, though, to investing in a new Vintage Air unit, or something similar. You'll need the a/c when the temperature really soars. Keep on driving the old girl, and keep her limber. Beautiful cars all the way around.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I'll try to get some more/better pics of the Chevelle and maybe a couple of the Focus.

Of course as a Thunderbird and station wagon lover, this has to be one of my favorite cars of all time...
