WooWoo! She arrived today. I'm on-call this week, so haven't had any time to clean and take pictures. Here are the couple that I took this afternoon, in my driveway. The internal and external chrome and trim are in amazing condition. The interior is also in amazing condition. If it weren't for the split seam on the front driver's side seat (which I knew about), it would be close to mint. It runs like a dream. Starts right up, idles great, rides very smooth, etc. The di-noc has more cracking than I had hoped. It will need replacing. For now, we'll enjoy it, as is. We took it out tonight. The boys fought over who got to ride in the back. Was nice to roll the back window down. The back window in the LTD II is not working.

There is something really special about Butter Cup! Mind you, there is something simply amazing about seeing BOTH of these lovely old woodies in one driveway!

I used to have one just like that. I loved the 2-way tailgate. And of course the kids loved the way-back seat.

Your neighbors will start to question your sanity - very soon, if not already

Buttercup left me stranded last night. :( I had put a good 75 miles on her yesterday afternoon, driving around town. Took her out last night, and she died. It's either a spark or fuel problem. Had to have her towed home. Hopefully I'll have time to look into it this weekend.

Will definitely be getting them both out together for a photo shoot. If it will ever stop raining. Georgia is the new Washington state. I've never seen so much rain down here. Of course, several years ago we were dealing with droughts. So I'm not complaining. Well.... Maybe just a little bit.

Great looking addition to your wagon collection. Sorry about the minor detail about her stopped running. Just something else to play around with in your spare time.:)

If it stops raining come on down to NW Florida for some more.

I logged on here for the first time in a while tonight, only to immediately see that you sold the ltd ii! I was like "why?"... Then I saw that the new car has a 460 and i was like ooooooh.

Anyway I have to say, I like the front end styling on this new one better, but I'd love to see some interior pics. Btw I still have the rest of that can of wood stain on my shelf if you need it;). Also, I'm sorry I never got around to mailing you that radio,, it would always cross my mind only at inconvenient times.

Congrats on what looks like a great ride.. Be looking for a thread about my new ford wagon soon...

Thanks James. No problem on the radio. Still debating how I wanna handle my faded/cracked woodgrain. Yeah, when I saw Buttercup on Ebay, with that 460, I had to have it. There's a reason my screen name is n2fordmuscle! :) I'll get some pics soon. Interior is in immaculate shape, except for a split seam in the front seat. Heck, we should meet up some time. You can just see it in person! Especially since it would seem you've re-joined ranks of the station wagon elite.

That would be cool, I'd love to see it in person... Ive got a few things to iron out on mine before she hits the road, mainly getting it running off its own fuel tank instead of a gas can, but I was thinking maybe we could meet up at a car show some time. If my wagon's not ready maybe my 73 Matador will be.

I need to go ahead and get some pics of the 65 up...
