Welcome, and I like your car! I saw a flawless metallic green sedan Saturday, with the blue Florida antique tag on it. I always did like those mid sized GM cars.

Welcome. nice wagon. I had a 1980 2-door I used to pull behind my motorhome. Always loved the nose on those.

Welcone to the forum. Cool Malibu you have there. Question: That little console box you have your aftermarket gauges in - is that the forward part of the console set-up from those models? Looks factory. Nice job.

First car a '81 Bonneville Safari? Good choice. I've had mine since last December. Came from Wisconsin.

the console piece is a reproduction of the original console housing . purchased from Dixiemontecarlo.com . it is a work in progress.

yeah the Bonneville was my first g body platform car. I had a 79 Malibu 2 dr after that. a few years ago I had a decent 72 chevelle wagon. I am hoping this one stays around for awhile.

right now it has an 87 305 h.o. , th350 , 7.5 rear for running gear. I have a 8.5 with a posi for it plus pmt rear trailing arms. I am not sure what to do with motor and trans yet. I have a few options on motors so I am weighing out the pros, cons, budget before choosing. will defenitly be a 2004r or 700r4 for trans.

exterior plan to repaint wheels factory silver, new paint on body. probably go back to the original blue which is a tiny bit darker. keeping it stock looking.
I have a single 3" exhaust I need to install.

interior is pretty much done except I need to repaint the cargo floor, have a cutom carpet madr for cargo area, install better speakers.

lastly is weatherstripping the whole car after it gets painted.
