Like many I finally got another wagon to have fun with. My 1st car was a 65 Ranchwagon I found in a barn in 1977 while mowing the yard of a lady from our church. Paid $25 for it. The car had 21k miles. Painted it and drove it thru HS until I got my Cuda at the end of my Junior yr, then I sold the car. I regretted it for years and struggled to find another. Well I ran across a decent 67 Belvedere II wagon and picked it up. Body and frame except for floors was very solid. Just wish the people that tried(yes tried)to paint it had know what they were doing. But thats not a big issue. Plans 512 big block, eddy heads, 4.10 gears in a dana and RO scoop(I had laying around the garage). Have fun next year next yr at the track then get a decent paint job on the car. The boss(wife)calls it the green turd. lol She does think it will be fun but right now it is pretty ugly because of the poor paint job
I am very bad at most things tech related. My kids used to attach photos for me. I'll see if I can figure it out. Yeah the 512 is coming out of my cuda. Putting a small mechanical cam in it and taking out the roller and indy heads. Same combo in my brothers cuda runs 11.25 in the quarter at 117mph.
The car is a work in progress right now. Haven't figured out how to attach a photo to a post yet but I did upload one to photo section. Not much to look at now but should be running and at the track by spring.
to the forum. Sounds like you are gonna have a decent grocery getter. Hope it'll have enough guts to haul some milk and bread.
Welcome aboard from another 67 Belvedere wagon owner. I know I've seen pictures of that wagon before. Maybe I saw pictures of it on Craigslist.
It was on craigslist, the owner was asking way more for it than it was worth. Said it had new floors. Yeah if you call screwing sheet metal over rust. Some body shop he took it to did the great work. Even had seats out of a conversion van. The seats and floors are out, putting sub frame connectors in this week and then new floors when they get in.
