Skipper and I have been planning a big party for hubby this weekend. His B-day actually isn't until Aug. 26 but that weekend just wasn't working out. So he thinks that the kids are coming over tomorrow after he gets home from work(@ 3:30) and for a BBQ. But I have also invited his family, a few friends and the neighbours. In anticipation of a lot of hungry people I am taking a vacation day to clean and perpare food Tedy why don't you live closer? #1 son is coming over early Saturday to help me set up a tent and a couple of folding tables and tables and chairs. I also need him to hang ballooons from the trees in the back yard and mini lights around the house. PS...I know what some of you are thinking, how could someone as young as me be married to someone THAT old??? It's easy he robbed the cradle!
Fannie, You need the t-shirt that sayz: 60 YEARS OLD, NEEDS PARTS MAKE OFFER...Have fun at the party, Jer
^^^^ Some great ideas for Jairus there......... And Fannie, tell the hubby to watch out - it's ALL downhill from here.
If he really did, you wouldn't have noticed. Experts say that small children forget everything that happens until they're 3
Picked up the food and a few beverages today. Started the food prep this evening. In the morning I'll do a bit of decorating and setting up the tent in the garden while hubby's at work. Then finish up the food prep, put the beer on ice. The weather is supposed to be perfect so I think he'll be surprised and enjoy the fun.
What are you planning on using for balloons, Ma'am? If you haven't any ideas, would you prefer a few suggestions?
Hope you have a fun party! So, what's the most popular Canadian beer? I heard y'all are big on Miller Lite?
That's a popular beer here. Or Bud Lite. Or anything that's free. That's actually the best almost anyplace I go. Our kids back in Illinois buy a lot of that flavored stuff. Often lemon flavored. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again fannie's hubby.
Nova Scotia pinata's, you break them and everyone talks funny! that may be from the wobbly pop as well.
We import the real ones of which upon breaking, they smell funny This is what they do with cradle-robbers, in my neck of the woods:
