What is an all-original '63 Country Squire worth that is still in good condition, solid and nice original interior approximately worth? Reason I ask is because my uncle has a chance to get his brothers "ex father-in laws" 1963 Country Squire wagon that he bought brand new in 1963! He is getting too old and no longer even able to drive it. The car has been stored in a shed/barn most of its life. It is white with red interior, which is still in good condition. The car has a 390 engine (I think) and has some options like A/C, padded dash and the 3rd seat. The car is still running and driving.

He thinks he can get the car for $3000. I told him I thought it would be a great deal. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

This is not the car, but is like it...

If the interior is good and the body and trim is still in good shape, and its not missing any hard to find parts, then thats a great price, even if it needs a new paint job and minor mechanical repairs.

It would be easier to judge if we could actually see the car and not "one like it." Any chance of some actual photos of this car, inside, outside, and underneath?

    Thanks!

Well he is not much on photos, but he only lives down the road from that mans house (his brothers ex-father-in laws, lol). I am sure some could be taken.

I would say that it is a #3 or #4 car... a good driver needing some TLC. I know he said it was a solid car with a decent all-original interior that still runs and drives.

As jaunty mentioned..."would be easier to judge if we could actually see the car and not "one like it."

Your idea of a #3-#4 car could be completely different to mine, and to another guy....

    ;)

lol, well my reference on the number scale is the one from the Old Cars price guide... best I can do. lol.

I don't have access to the car, but if he can get me some pics, I will post them. He asked me if I thought it was worth $3K and I told him from what he told me it seemed like a good deal, but again, I don't know either. lol. I have personally seen the car, but the last time I seen it was like 5 years ago and I could only see the front sticking out of the shed. lol.

If it's similar to the last pic - $3000 is a great deal.

If it runs and drives OK, and doesn't have any major body problems, I'd say $3k sounds about right, maybe more. If it looks 'tired', the value would be at the bottom of the scale. If it appears nicer, maybe more. I've seen nice ones in the $10k range.
