Just yesterday I took my first real drive in my new wagon. I've only had it for about two weeks now and it needed some work. The intake gasket was corroded and leaking so I had to take the top of the engine off to replace that. Then I replaced the water pump and timing chain just for fun. Two jobs that should have taken three days total ended up being over a weeks worth of days including about a dozen trips to the parts store for loaner tools and replacements for bits and pieces i broke along the way.

But everything came together on a Sunday morning so I took her out just intending to go around the neighborhood for a short test drive. I ended up driving over the hill and stopping by my favorite beach on my roundabout route home. Only problems were she ran a little hotter than I would like in traffic and I didn't bring swim trunks when I left the house. That's probably going to be my standard Sunday cruise.

My red wagon had a couple of pieces of damaged glass. I replaced the driver's side front and rear door windows in the broiling sun. The front had a weld splatter burn on it, and the rear, that I replaced about 4 months ago had a big scratch in it. I did not see the scratch until after the installation. The only window I have not replaced is the passenger's side front door. I hope I am done replacing glass for a while. Now I need to stop the small leak from the firewall/A pillar seam on the passenger's side.

I just drove to No.Cal. and back. This wagon is a real crowd pleaser.

When I got back I got to go on a comedy music video with Andy Dick. It was a 70s' setting and they wound up using the car.

I was never a fan of The safety bumpers but they are growing on me. In one scene Jeff Richards road on the back "step" bumper.

I just got myself a reconditioned clock from eBay. Mounted it and found out
that the reason why the old clock wasn't working was an electrical issue.
    Bad connections in the fuseblock...

Fixed it and now I got two clocks in working order. Need to lube the
old one but it is in a great condition so I'll keep it for later.
