I found my 1972 Torino Wagon in 2009 in London UK with 27k original miles and over here since 1973. Having been a wagon lover since childhood it was about time I joined this forum.
of course! here are a couple of snaps I took recently. She's not pristine, but totally original and unmodified. 302V8 Auto, otherwise no options. I'm in the middle of a house move and will post more pictures when I'm plugged into my drive.
thanks. the car seem to divide opinion, love or hate. The wheels were originally body colored but were patchy with rust making the car look scruffier than it was so I had the wheels done black rather than try and match the body. I've got a set of full wheel covers too, but the poverty caps have more attitude!
Welcome to the forum, Ben. That Torino looks pretty sharp, particularly for surviving so long in your moist weather. Pic shows that it's still left-hand drive. Sort of surprising to me that it hasn't been converted after so long. Also, when you can get to it, post up some pics of your Dodge Custom 880, even if it isn't a wagon. Those are getting a bit rare over here, but I believe we have a member or two with one. Marshall

I appreciate the swift warm welcome to the forum! Re, the left hand drive. . . its pretty rare to find US made cars converted to RHD in UK, its more common with repatriation of British cars that were sold new in the USA. I prefer the LHD as the car is very wide for our roads it makes it easier to judge by keeping close to the curb. I believe my Wagon was imported in 1973 just as the oil crisis hit and then stored and driven very little until 1998 when it was purchased by the guy I bought it off, he put 2k miles on it in 12 years. Re, millage on the 302, to be honest I don't know. I just put £100 ($150) full gas tank in and hope it will give me 200 miles, but quite simply by choosing to drive one of these over here in England you have to not care about gas millage, I'll pump gas and go hungry if I have to. Here's a glimpse of the 880. There's lots to say but being wagon forum I'm not wanting to bore people.
