I have just signed up for the Station Wagon Forum. I just bought back a previously owned Roadmaster and will post a car for sale here soon. I do believe the world needs more wagons! They are as handy as a shirt pocket and make people smile. You just don't get that with everything you can drive.
Welcome and wagon practicality. Dear Bookstore Guy and fans of the venerable long-roof, First welcome to the Station Wagon Forum! *Sniff*, tell me about wagon practicality. With my 1965 Buick Special wagon in the shop for her drivetrain makeover, I had no easy way to transport my bicycle to the bike shop for a tune up. I managed to stuff it into a compact car, but when I tried to extract the bike from the car, the rear wheel would not get back into frame. Sure hope I didn't bend anything going all of 7 miles by back roads just to avoid any damage. I miss my wagon!!!!! Grumble, grumble grumble! Cheers, Edouard
to the wonderful world of wagons. And they tried to convince us these things are not needed and are ugly. Sure beats any SUV out there.
Welcome aboard Bookstore Guy! I hear ya about handy! The Mrs did a 20km bike ride last week and I met her at the final destination, slid her bike into the back of my Roadie and drove off again. If it weren't for being a wagon owner we'd have had no convenient way to get both The Mrs and her bike home. Lots of heads turned when they heard my dual Magnaflows pull up!
