Watching Southern California Fire TV coverage on the internet. Wife's sister and her husband live in a development at the base of a mountain where a fire started in Camarillo. Their house is OK, but the development's RV lot got it - they lost their '98 Dodge P/U, a 5th wheel travel trailer and a nice cab-over camper. Maybe a small boat/trailer, too.
Ouch. I will be praying for them. That is a hard loss to take as they would need those vehicles and campers if it were to spread far enough to their home.
Man I hate to read things like this...thoughts and prayers for them and all needing to deal with these fires. Hope all stay safe.
Here's a link to a pic of the truck and 5th wheel.... http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-camarillo-brush-fire-20130502,0,3115943.photogallery?index=la-camarillo-brush-fire-20130502-023
I hate hearing about fire and flood loses. Just hope the lose of homes is not bad and there are no loses of lives. In our area of central Illinois quit a few are still fighting flood damage of the Illinois river. I have mixed feelings about many of those. This river floods the same places many springs and yet the people just rebuild. Fires, tornados, and hurricanes are unpredictable. But rivers naturally flood when you live on the flood plain.
