Finally after all the hell we've been through we have a home. It's in a developing artist collective. The building is nice and the people are awesome. Rent is cheap too. We move in tomorrow. No more trying to sleep on the trains or in the parks. The beach is beautiful but try getting proper sleep there. We get to have our cats and Zoe has a place to home to where she can sleep and I can work only art and help the place work. There is an after school program that happens on the frist floor. Just in the nic o time too. We had until the first to find a place or our cats were out on the street too. Our friends are no longer our friends. We will pay back the money we owe them but any form of friendship is gone, dead, and buried. At least we have met good people now. We have had a chance to meet and get to know our fellow artists and they really are good people. Thank you all for your faith in us. I know that there are several of us that are going through tough times right now. Keep faith in yourself and those involved. We pray for you all and send out positive energies.

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! Best news I've heard in a long time! Congrats my brother, you should see the smile on my face right now...ear to ear, my co-workers think I have lost my mind. Ha! I have kept you and Zoe in my prayers good on you both and your furry little children.

Tremendous news, Xavier and Zoe! Sounds like an awesome place to live. If I was the artistic sort, I'd love to do the loft thing. Not too many out here on the left coast though. But I have heard of a few being developed, usually from rehabbed factories or storefronts.

Us country boys will have to see a picture to know what the heck an "art collective" is. Is sounds like a groovy pad!?

The building is an old church. Nothing fancy or ornate. We will be living on the second story. A collective is like a co-op but with less rules and requirements. Artist collectives are most often set up and used as the first step in improving a neighborhood or area. Theres already an after school program going on and we will be building a coffee shop and art gallery in the as well. It will all take time but its a good purpose. I will post pics when i get the chance. :tiphat:

Like that Dewey guy I'm smiling ear to ear. At least no one can see me but my wife.... And she says YIPPY ! She keeps asking about kids. I tell her to look on our back porch at that furry thing. That's what your kids look like.
Did I say YIPPY too???? YIPPY.:taz: I just knew it would work out. You are awesome and it's time to enjoy life. Sleepin in these odd places may be fun when you need a break. But it's not meant to be forever.
Sounds like you may have really found home in more ways than one. Start making some neat things of glass and show them true art.
By the way, we need pictures of you and Zoe smiling. :camera:
Good luck to both of you.

    Thank you God!

I just read the title right out loud and my daughter said who got a home? So I had to brief her on your troubles...OMG I'm so happy for you guys. Thought of you having to sleep on park benches, etc. really worried me...ALOT!

Were you able to save any on your furnishings from your pervious apartment?

It'll be great getting your fur babies back under on roof.

    Thank you!

Yes it will be awesome to have our family all in one place and living in a positive and conducive environment. As for furnishings all we have left furnature-wise is our dresser and the cats' cat trees. They were kind enough to provide us with a mattress to sleep on. We lost most of our stuff but that doesnt matter now. We can rebuild.

I will say this. It has taken 2 years to reach this point. We're glad its over.
